Time: Noon to 7 PM
Social gathering of ferret and non-ferret owners.
Clubs and folks with ferret wares for sale. Food, fun, and frolic.

There will be fun and food, and hopefully music, and goodies for all. Come on down!!
Ok, it has been out there, we are having the Ferret Freedom Fest in June. I have been writing to companies asking for information on their product lines, and hey if you want to donate an item that is cool, but the main push is to get information out on the products that you have.
Both ferret and non ferret products, after all many ferret owners have more than just ferrets, and we expect many non ferret owners that have cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, ect.
Fine, you don't want to send a donation of some product, but you really like the fact that ferret owners use your product, but you don't want to send samples, or information or coupons?
Come on, that stuff is sales supplies!!!
I just don't get it. You offer to help promote their products, and they won't do so much as to pack a couple hundred brochures and ship them.
It costs you postage, printing, and some time, to promote your product. I guess that is too much to ask, they'd rather spend thousands advertising rather then getting a small market that could help spread the word.
Cutest Photo Contest
Send your pictures, 5 x 7 to Ferrets Unlimited Ferret Shelter, 4116 Bucyrus, Cleveland, Ohio 44109.
Entry fee is $1.00 per picture, no limit on number of photos. Popular vote will choose the winner. Winner need not be present.
First Prize is $50, Second Prize is $25.00 and Third Prize is $15.00, each will also receive a frame. (Already have that covered with a donation from a photographer friend.) Winner announced around 6:00 PM during the Festival.
Deadline for entries is June 20. That way, we have enough time to put them into a display.
Show Name and Logo Contest
There is also a Ferret Show Name and Logo contest. Submissions should be sent to: Ferrets Unlimited Ferret Shelter, 4116 Bucyrus Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44109. Check our website for updates. http://www.ferretsunlimited.org/. The deadline for this is August 25, 2005. Winner will be announced September 1, 2005.
Remember, Cleveland is the home of Rock and Roll, and the museum, so pull that into the name and logo.
Entry fee is $1.00 per entry, enter as many times as you like. First prize will be $100 and a T-Shirt with your logo on it, (money donated by a local artist group), and seeing your work on T-shirts, ribbons, letterhead and anything else we need it on for the show, as long as we have enough people to help organize a show. All entries become the property of Ferrets Unlimited and may be used at our discretion for fund raising. (Legal beagle stuff)

A variety of shelters, giving out information on their animals, some may be adopting. Lots of fund raising for all.

so if you wouldn't mind, please click on the "Please vote for Trouble!!" line, do a search for mink, and vote for him. A 10 would be most lovely.

I am working on the news letter for the shelter, hopefully I get it out by Friday, and if you have any stories about your shelter kid, or your ferret, email to me and I will put it in.
Pics are welcome too, but they need to be a good quality pic so when I print the news letter it will show up.
Don't forget Stamp Camp, and we have a Ferrets Unlimited Freedom festival coming up on June 25, I'll have more details the beginning of the week on where.
Fancy name for open house, but I want it to be more. A big party for ferret people to talk and exchange ideas, food, information, fund raising, prizes.
So mark your calendars!!
