I am really far behind on keeping this corner current, but having the 90 plus ferrets here keep me busy, along with our couple of volunteers who I am deeply indebted to.
Thanks to Pet Supplies Plus. The donated this really COOL cat tree, I mean it is a BIG one as a raffle prize for our next fundraiser, which will be a bowlathon with a 50's theme. Still trying to decide on the "theme". Oh yeah, and a bunch of ferret stuff, enough to make two really cool goodie baskets up!!
Hopefully, it will work out to where it will be a co fundraiser. To benefit Ferrets Unlimited and Cleveland's City Kennel. Look, I know what you are thinking. The kennel?
They are one of the services that are first cut when they do but backs, there are good people working there trying to make it the best place they can. They have a couple of great volunteers who started helping here.
The animals there need help too. So why not? Hopefully we have a date in the next few days. There would be 4 hours of bowling, food, door prizes (hint, hint, hint donations needed!!) Music. We were thinking a 50's theme because it was really big during the fifties, it would be a little different, and people could come dresses as their favorite 50's personality. Not only folks from the shows, but anyone that was famous during the 50's.
It would really be cool to have classic cars show up too.
Ok, Ok, I am getting ahead of myself. So, when I find out the date and hours, I'll be posting it here, and in the mean time, you all put on those thinking caps about who you want to dress up as, and find some really neat doors prizes (which would be tax deductible).
We are waiting for a date from the local bowling alley, and an "OK" from the City Kennel. I don't think they will object, but either way, we are doing a bowlathon fundraiser.
If you have any cool ideas for a theme, let me know!!
Anyone who would be interested in donating a door prize or maybe even a really NICE prize, say like a three day weekend in Vegas, or something cool like that, could still get a tax deduction since Ferrets Unlimited is tax exempt.
