 CHECK OUT DAVID'S WORK!! Dreamkeepers
Thanks to David Lillie, a very talented artist and gamer (I'll find his web site and post it) Ferrets Unlimited Ferret Shelter has a group of Super Heros. Rascal's Rescue Rangers. They have a WHOLE line of items at our CafePress store: www.cafepress.com/ferretsunlimitd
There is the beautiful Willow (yes, she is wearing contacts!!), the energetic, over the edge, a brick shy of a full load Buzzer, and the loveable, charming Fransico. Who are currently looking for Rascal. (I have the rough draft of him).
Thank you David for such great characters.
And folks, remember to buy your Official Rascal's Rescue Rangers items.
Oh, just a little by the way. The images are copyrighted, and belong to the shelter.
I am really far behind on keeping this corner current, but having the 90 plus ferrets here keep me busy, along with our couple of volunteers who I am deeply indebted to.
Thanks to Pet Supplies Plus. The donated this really COOL cat tree, I mean it is a BIG one as a raffle prize for our next fundraiser, which will be a bowlathon with a 50's theme. Still trying to decide on the "theme". Oh yeah, and a bunch of ferret stuff, enough to make two really cool goodie baskets up!!
Hopefully, it will work out to where it will be a co fundraiser. To benefit Ferrets Unlimited and Cleveland's City Kennel. Look, I know what you are thinking. The kennel?
They are one of the services that are first cut when they do but backs, there are good people working there trying to make it the best place they can. They have a couple of great volunteers who started helping here.
The animals there need help too. So why not? Hopefully we have a date in the next few days. There would be 4 hours of bowling, food, door prizes (hint, hint, hint donations needed!!) Music. We were thinking a 50's theme because it was really big during the fifties, it would be a little different, and people could come dresses as their favorite 50's personality. Not only folks from the shows, but anyone that was famous during the 50's.
It would really be cool to have classic cars show up too.
Ok, Ok, I am getting ahead of myself. So, when I find out the date and hours, I'll be posting it here, and in the mean time, you all put on those thinking caps about who you want to dress up as, and find some really neat doors prizes (which would be tax deductible).
We are waiting for a date from the local bowling alley, and an "OK" from the City Kennel. I don't think they will object, but either way, we are doing a bowlathon fundraiser.
If you have any cool ideas for a theme, let me know!!
Anyone who would be interested in donating a door prize or maybe even a really NICE prize, say like a three day weekend in Vegas, or something cool like that, could still get a tax deduction since Ferrets Unlimited is tax exempt.
Pardon me for butting in, but here is another way to benefit the shelter!
I created a ferret site called Ferret Fun, over at a place called Squidoo.
Squidoo is a fairly new free service where you can create simple one page sites on any topic you like, and you can choose to donate the proceeds to charity (from Google links, or if someone purchases something from places like Cafepress, Amazon, or eBay).
All of my Squidoo lenses are now set to benefit Ferrets Unlimited.
If you have a moment, please visit the Ferret Fun lens and please consider creating your own charity lens, as well.
Please let us know if you create a lens that benefits Ferrets Unlimited and I'll gladly link to you.
If you decide to create your own Squidoo lens and use this referral link, both you (or your charity) and my charity (Ferrets Unlimited), may receive a $5 bonus.
I do not work for this company, nor do I benefit from these links, 100% of my earnings will go directly to the shelter.
