Car Show Sponsors, Help, Donations Needed

Well the show is only a week away, and we are way to deep to cancel, so if you know of a business that has those little do dads, key chains, you know those advertising goodies that can be put into goodie bags, we sure could use them!!

We need sponsors for trophies, and could use some help stocking the "Pepsi Wagon" with snacks and munchies. Not to mention cups, paper plates, utensils, and napkins, ice too.

The shelter is already way to deep into this to cancel. Advertising, postage, raffle items we ended up purchasing because the lack of donations for the raffle.

Although we have gotten a few, two local ferret owners came through, and Summit Racing. A friend in California made 11 key chains, another friend in Wisconsin sent some neat stuff. And a couple from Southern Ohio came to volunteer and brought some goodies.

Here is a kicker for you. A friend and ferret owner in Texas, TEXAS works at a dealership, and she went to her boss about this, they are sending some goodies for the goodie bags.

And from our local area?? NOTHING from any of the dealerships we contacted. Well, nothing but rudeness. (We sent out 280 letters, and followed up with phone calls the following week, and returned calls when we were asked to.)

Help spreading the word about the car show via email and whatever else you can think of would help too.

We are going to be in the red, but like I said, we are too far along to cancel, it would cost just as much so may as well try to turn this into a great educational opportunity.

And sending it to the media too would help. I have been doing that, but it would help if the Plain Dealer, Channel 3, 5, 8, 19 and 55 (non cable channel numbers we don't have cable) get more emails than from just here. Sun News too.

OK, all said in done, I am asking for help. Every little bit helps, please help us make this a success.
